Yes, WishPoster is completely free. There's no account to make, and no premium plan.
Do I need an account or to sign up?
No. WishPoster doesn't require an account, a username, an email, or a password. You start building your wish list the moment you arrive, and it saves automatically, so there's nothing to set up and nothing to log back into. Use the same browser to edit your list that you used to make it.
Do I have to give my email address?
No, WishPoster never asks for your email. That means no verification step to get started, no marketing emails afterward, and nothing to unsubscribe from later. Keeping your details out of it is the whole idea: the less personal information we hold, the less there is to worry about.
Can I add gifts from any store?
Yes. If it's on the internet, then paste the link. Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Target, or virtually any online shop. You're never limited to a single retailer, so you can mix big stores, small boutiques, and one-off finds on the same list. You can also add items by hand.
How do my family and friends use my list?
Every wish list gets its own custom link. Share that link by text, email, or group chat, and anyone can open it instantly, with no account needed on their end. They'll see your items, prices, and any notes you've added, and the list looks right whether they open it on a phone, tablet, or computer.
Can people reserve gifts so no one buys the same thing twice?
Yes, if you enable the feature. With reservations turned on, anyone viewing your list can quietly claim the item they're buying, and it's marked so the next person knows to choose something else. No more duplicate gifts. You can keep reservations hidden to preserve the surprise, or check them yourself if you'd rather know what's coming.
Will gifts be shipped to me automatically?
Not automatically. WishPoster is a wish list, not a store, so it doesn't process payments or handle shipping. Whoever's buying clicks through to the retailer, purchases the item there, and arranges delivery the usual way. The upside: you're never required to share your home address, and you stay in control of what, if anything, you reveal.
Do I need to download an app?
No app required. WishPoster runs in your web browser on any device, so there's nothing to install, update, or take up space on your phone. If you'd like quick access, you can bookmark your list or save it to your home screen.
